Say hello to Holly’s new Product Support Analyst, Anoushka Chander!

Anoushka is fresh off a year in the United Kingdom, where she received her Masters in Political and Economic Sociology from Cambridge. At Holly, she’ll ensure that Holly clients get the most out of their product usage, resolving complications and confusions, and translating feedback to the team to build a constantly improving product.

We sat down with her to learn more about her path to Holly, what she’s looking forward to working on, and what she enjoys outside of the workplace – spoiler alert: it’s not musicals.

What drew you to working for Holly?

Holly’s core goal to equip governments with dedicated public servants to improve lives is what drew me to the company. At Harvard, I ran a conference for Future Leaders in Public Service, where we brought over two-hundred  high school students to campus to train and empower them to pursue careers in the public sector.

I also spent two summers working in Congress and have experience lobbying state and local officials. I believe deeply in social impact entrepreneurship and am excited to help design the future of government work with Holly.

What drew you to product support?

I liked that it’s such a dynamic role with support, product, client relations, and deployment all in one. I get to own client relationships, work closely with product and support, and grow a piece of Holly’s business myself. I like solving problems and building things that last, and this unique role gives me all of that.

What’s something about your background that might surprise people?

I am a singer and performing artist! I was the lead singer in a pop-funk band in college and am a trained vocalist. I love all things music, pop culture, and dance!

What are you most excited about your time at Holly?

I’ve already loved working with the team and the product. I’m excited to learn from people around me as I start out. I’m really looking forward to learning the product inside and out, understanding AI deeply, and addressing clients needs.

What three material objects could you not survive without?

My water bottle, sunglasses, and airpods (which I guess implies my phone lol).

What are your hobbies outside of work?

I love to sing and go to any live music concerts. I also really enjoy theatre (not musicals, I’m sorry) and am excited to get to know NYC’s off-Broadway theatre scene. I love to travel, read, cook, and am trying to get into pottery and cocktail-making.

What could you give a TED talk about impromptu?

Please delete your period-tracking app. Amid shifting reproductive rights and increased surveillance of digital footprints, your period-tracking or fertility-tracking app could feed your intimate reproductive health data to commercial advertisers, law enforcement, or government agencies.

Such apps are not equipped with the necessary data privacy safeguards to ensure user data is handled with appropriate care. (This was my dissertation topic. Please ask me about it!)
