From Meeting to Signed in 6 weeks: Lake County, CA

Lake County, California is Holly's newest California partner — 1,000 employees, 12 comparator counties configured at go-live, and a budget deadline that couldn't wait. From first conversation to signed agreement in six weeks.

We're excited to welcome Lake County, California to Holly. They're a county that moved fast to get classification and compensation tools in place before budget season hit.

Lake County has about 1,000 employees and a small HR team managing a growing classification backlog with limited tools. With April 2026 bringing a new budget year and the wave of classification requests that comes with it, the window was tight. Their mid-year budget deadline got pushed to mid-March, making it even tighter. They got Holly up and running just ahead of all of it.

The whole thing came together in about six weeks. First conversation in late January, signed agreement in early February. That's fast for government procurement, and it says a lot about how clearly the Lake County team knew what they needed.

We configured all 12 of Lake County's California comparator counties before go-live, so their team had real compensation benchmarking data from the jump that was defensible across the agencies they're actually competing with for talent.

Lake County adds to our growing roster of clients in California. That number keeps growing because more CA counties are seeing the same thing: consultant studies aren't cutting it anymore and the need of the hour is always-on classification and compensation data. For small-county HR teams that are doing more with less, that makes all the difference.

We're proud to be part of how Lake County is scaling its HR infrastructure. Welcome, Lake County.
