Bringing clarity, consistency, and defensibility to 800+ classifications in LA metro

We’re excited to welcome the City of Glendale, California to Holly, partnering to bring clarity, consistency, and defensibility to its classification and compensation work. Glendale, one of the largest and most innovative cities in the Los Angeles metro, is taking a thoughtful step to modernize how it manages a complex workforce—about 1,100 employees across more than 800 classifications serving roughly 200,000 residents.
From our first conversations this fall, Chief Human Resources Officer Paula Adams, an award-winning leader with service in PSHRA’s Southern California Chapter and the Western Region, saw a clear path beyond manual data gathering and fragmented workflows. Her vision was straightforward: leverage AI-native analysis so her team can spend more time on strategic decisions and stakeholder conversations, and less on clerical tasks.
