Hi, everyone! I'm so excited to be joining Holly as a Product Operations Analyst!
I join Holly after spending the last few years working with local governments and public servants on data problems as a consultant, volunteer, and activist. I started on this path after studying urban studies at Brown, where I witnessed capable government employees get bogged down by red tape and inaccessible data. These experiences pushed me doing data work in the impact sector: building dashboards and impact measurement systems at places like Dallas Independent School District, the SPEND initiative, and the Network for Social Justice.
While I found this data work incredibly rewarding, it also was tedious: in my previous roles, the public servants I worked with and I had to comb through dozens of documents, and create hundreds of Excel formulas to get to a single finding (or spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on consultants!). What excites me most about working to build Holly’s platform is that our AI algorithms allow HR professionals to get insights at the click of a button. This means that our users can focus on interpreting results, allowing them to make informed decisions with more confidence and at a fraction of the cost.
What I Do at Holly
As a Product Operations Analyst, I act as a bridge between local government employees and our engineering team, maintaining the feedback loop that makes our tools sharp. My work falls into three buckets:
