JASON YI

Program: BS in Computer Science at Georgetown University

Tell us about yourself: Hey! I’m Jason, a senior at Georgetown studying computer science. I’m focused on using technology to fix outdated government processes—making crucial work less cumbersome for public servants. I was the first hire at a civic-tech startup, most recently modernized tax workflows using AI, and have researched technology implementation for public benefits programs.

Past Experience: EY, Aidy (YC W24), The Beeck Center for Social Impact + Innovation

Why Holly: I believe that the workforce is the first key to empowering local governments to provide the best service delivery for its citizens. I am excited to work at a startup that is utilizing new technologies to modernize local governments which have traditionally been slower to innovate.

What I’m Working on at Holly: I’m working on refining the use of AI at Holly, by revising prompts for analysis tools on the platform to be more consistent and provide clearer outputs to users. I am also developing a system to make prompts easily editable to allow for better collaboration on refining prompts.

MAYANK SHARMA

Program: MPA in International Development at Harvard Kennedy School

Tell us about yourself: Hello! I’m Mayank, a graduate of the Kennedy School, where I’ve been coaching leadership, group dynamics, and adult development since graduation. Previously, I worked as a policy and technology advisor, helping state governments in India restructure public benefits programs through digital technology. I was a founding product manager at a fintech startup that enabled retirement investments for low-income workers in India. I’m thrilled to be working with Holly to bring cutting-edge technologies to the public sector!

Past Experience: J-PAL (Poverty Action Lab at MIT), pinBox, ZS Associates

Why Holly: Having worked as a consultant embedded within government, I’ve seen firsthand the impact public sector innovation can have. Implementing new technology in this space requires both cultural and operational change management. I’m excited to help make it easier for people to pursue the mission of public service!

What I’m Working on at Holly: I’m focused on building Holly’s product analytics function, automating product operations, and shaping product strategy and execution.

RAHUL MAHESH

Program: BA in Politics at New York University

Tell us about yourself: Hi! I’m Rahul, a graduate of NYU and current Field Artillery Officer in the NY Army National Guard. Previously I was a researcher at NYU Wagner studying transportation policy in NYC, and a strategy consulting intern at ReD Associates helping build their democracy and governance practice area. I started my career interning twice in Congress for Rep. John Larson where I worked on multiple policy areas including national defense, infrastructure, and labor.

Past Experience: Army National Guard, NYU Wagner, ReD Associates, US House of Representatives

Why Holly: I joined Holly because I’ve seen firsthand how local governments struggle to provide critical services to their constituencies when they can’t fill vacancies with competitive candidates. Holly’s solution of driving salary competition and taking down unnecessary barriers into public sector roles.

What I’m Working on at Holly: I’m helping drive Holly’s go-to-market efforts with cold outbound, discovery calls with prospective customers, and building data-centered client deliverables.
